“Whereas the present Regional Medical College at Lamphelpat which is one of the most important Medical Colleges of the backward Zone of India, required over all upliftment of efficiency and better standard to serve properly the people of this region, therefore, it is resolved that the Government of Manipur be urged to take up the issue with the N.E.C. for upgrading the College as a Regional Medical Institute of an University standard like the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences in other parts of India.”
