and 1998-99.

DISCUSSION  AND  VOTING  ON   DEMANDS  FOR  GRANTS :

                 6.     Discussion and voting on demands for grants, 2003-2004.

                        (i)      DEMAND NO.37 - FISHERIES

                                   Shri O. Ibobi Singh,  Chief Minister to move :

                                           “that  a  sum  not  exceeding  Rs.9,56,21,000  be  granted to  defray  the 
                                            charges  which  will  come  in  course  of payment during the financial
                                            year ending 31st March, 2004  in  respect  of  Demand  No.37 - Fisheries”.

                         (A)   MOTION  FOR  DISAPPROVAL  OF  POLICY  CUT :

Shri S. Ibohal Singh and

                                   Shri M. Bhorot Singh,  MLAs  to move :

                                           “that the amount of the demand be reduced to Re. 1”

                                   On account of :

                                         (i)     Failure to increase the production of Fish and protect indigenous fish
                                                  varieties.

                                        (ii)    Failure to provide incentives to fish farmers.

ADOPTION OF COMMITTEE REPORT :

                 7.     Dr. M. Nara Singh, Chairman of the House Committee to Examine for Inclusion of
                         Sanamahi Religion in the Census Record to move :

                                           “that the House do agree with the report which was presented to the
                                             House on 25-07-2003”.

PRIVATE MEMBERS’ RESOLUTION :

                 8.   (i)     Dr. Nimaichand Luwang, MLA to move the following resolution:
(ii)    Shri O. Joy Singh, MLA to move the following resolution:

(iii)    Dr.Nimaichand Luwang and Shri L.Ibomcha Singh, MLAs to move the following
                                 resolution:

                                " The Manipur Legislative Assembly unanimously resolves to establish a Directorate
                                of Development of Meeteilon and Meetei Mayek under the Department of
                                Education and to allot an annual budget of not less than Rs. 20 crores for the said
