      (i)       DEMAND NO. 4 - LAND REVENUE, STAMPS & REGISTRATION AND DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION

                                   Shri O. Ibobi Singh, Chief Minister to move :

                                           “that a sum not exceeding Rs. 23,47,15,000 be granted to  defray  the  charges  which 
                                            will  come  in  course  of payment during the financial year ending 31st March, 2004 in
                                            respect of Demand No.4 - Land Revenue, Stamps& Registration and District
                                            Administration.”

              MOTION FOR TOKEN CUT :

                                   Shri M. Bhorot Singh,
                                   Shri L. Ibomcha Singh &
                                   Shri S. Gopal Singh,  MLAs to move :

                                           “that the amount of the demand be reduced by Rs. 100.”

                                          On account of :

                                          (i)      Irregularities in the allotment of land in the Imphal areas.

                                          (ii)      Failure to implement the provision of the MLR & LR Act, 1961.

     (ii)       DEMAND NO. 5 - FINANCE  DEPARTMENT

                                   Shri O. Ibobi Singh, Chief Minister to move :

                                           “that a sum not exceeding Rs.189,94,01,000 be granted to  defray  the  charges 
                                            which will  come  in  course  of payment during the financial year ending 31st March,
                                            2004 in respect of Demand No.5 - Finance Department.”                

                MOTION  FOR  DISAPPROVAL  OF  POLICY  CUT :

                                   Shri M. Nilchandra Singh,

                                   Shri L. Ibomcha Singh,
                                   Shri M. Bhorot Singh &
                                   Shri I. Hemochandra Singh, MLAs to move :

                                          “that the amount of the demand be reduced to Re. 1.”

                                          On account of :

                                          (i)      Non-formulation of concrete financial policy to improve the financial position of
                                                   the State.

                                          (ii)      Mismanagement of Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

 

        (iii)      DEMAND NO. 29 - SALES TAX, OTHER TAXES/DUTIES ON COMMODITIES AND SERVICES :

                                   Shri O. Ibobi Singh, Chief Minister to move :

                                          “that a sum not exceeding Rs.1,53,19,000 be granted to  defray  the  charges  which 
                                           will  come  in  course  of payment during the financial year ending 31st March, 2004 in
                                           respect of Demand No.29 - Sales Tax, Other Taxes/Duties on Commodities and
                                           Services.”

                 MOTION  FOR  ECONOMY  CUT :

                                   Shri L. Ibomcha Singh &
                                   Shri M. Bhorot Singh,  MLAs to move :

                                          “that the amount of the demand be reduced to Rs. 1000”

                                           On account of :

                                          (i)      Total failure in the collection of Sales Tax, throughout the State.
